About

The Pemigewasset Chapter of Trout Unlimited encompasses a large geographic area of Central New Hampshire. We focus our energy from the northern Lakes Region, including the Newfound and Squam Lakes areas, right up to the White Mountains and all along the Pemigewasset River Valley. We are a local group working to fulfill the mission of Trout Unlimited which is simply “To conserve, protect and restore North America's coldwater fisheries and their watersheds.”

If you are interested in conservation and/or like to fish for coldwater species like trout and salmon why not think about joining us.

We normally meet at The Common Man Inn in Plymouth, New Hampshire the third Tuesday of every month except July, August, and December.  Directors meeting is at 5 pm in the Baker* room, followed by dinner at 6pm in the Wine* room, and then on to the general chapter meeting starting at 7 pm in the Baker* room.  Members or those interested in becoming a member can join us for any or all portions of the meeting.  *Room locations may vary.

Covid-19 has thrown a monkey wrench into our meetings.  Our board meets now at 7pm on 3rd Tuesdays and members are encouraged to sit in.  Send us an email for a link to meetings.

The Pemigewasset Chapter of TU was spun off from the Ammonoosuc Chapter of Littleton, NH. Many members who lived south of Franconia Notch wanted an alternative to driving north thru the notch in the winter. Thus with the Ammonoosuc Chapter's support a "sister chapter" was born. The charter meeting for the Pemi Chapter was held January 17th, 2002. We were chartered by TU National on February 22nd, 2002.
