I went out again today with some more newly tied flies. I didn’t get anything but can you beat being on the river with a box of flies you tied on a day like this?

Me and my dad did a day of fishing on the San Juan just before Christmas,well, I did anyway. When we woke up on the fishing day we awoke to about 4-5 inches of fresh snow. I needed new water and the opportunity came this last weekend. The  manager of High Desert Angler and friend, Ed, had just competed in the Conejos “Super Fly”  competition – hosted by Conejos River Anglers – the previous weekend and reported that the Conejos was on  fire!
