BEEBE RIVER HISTORY

Pemigewasset Chapter of Trout Unlimited will present “Beebe River History” on April 19, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Common Man Inn, Plymouth.

Dave Pushee will present “Beebe River History”, a sketch of changes seen in use of the Beebe River watershed from settlers to lumber barons and back to conservation land. The Beebe River is a 16.7-mile-long (26.9 km) river that begins at Black Mountain Pond on the southern slopes of Sandwich Mountain, in the town of Sandwich. The river flows south, then turns west through Sandwich Notch, entering the town of Campton.

Dave is currently Secretary of the Pemigewasset Chapter of Trout Unlimited.  He was born and raised in Lyme, NH; lived and worked for years in Southern NH; and retired to Plymouth in 2007.  Dave has been an advocate for the Beebe River since 2014 when he learned of The Conservation Fund’s plan to purchase over 5,000 acres in Campton and Sandwich.
