Sponsorship of youth to Barry Conservation Camp
The Pemigewasset Chapter of Trout Unlimited plans to sponsor a deserving youth to the Barry Conservation Camp for fishing week each summer. Camp dates may vary from year to year, but are normally in early July.
Prospective boys or girls (ages 10-16 as of next July) should download our application form and apply not later than November 15th for sponsorship the following summer.
The Barry Conservation Camp has taught boys and girls how to fish for decades. It's a 6 day overnight summer camp operated by the UNH Cooperative Extension 4-H Program and the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department.
Novice anglers will learn the basic skills and equipment needed to get started fishing while campers with more experience will work on improving their fishing skills and exploring the finer details of the angling world. Campers will also hike, swim, canoe, create campfire skits and enjoy a host of other great activities.
