FUNdamentals of Flyfishing

a 4 day class

At The Waterville Valley Recreation Department

11 Noon Peak Road.

Presented by the NH Fish and Game Department,

Pemigewasset Chapter of Trout Unlimited.

FUNDAMENTALS OF FLY-FISHING will cover Basic Fly-Fishing techniques. It will include: what makes fly-fishing unique, rod reel and line assembly, basic equipment, casting instructions, knots, fish habitat, fish forage, fish identification, fishing ethics, fly-tying and will answer any question you have about fly-fishing.

Instructors are certified by the NH Fish and Game Department. These volunteers bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to help the beginning angler get started.

Rods will be provided but bring your own or borrowed equipment if you have it (Recommended 5/6 weight fly rod & reel, 5/6 weight floating line). The class will be limited to the first 10 registrants. Must be 10 or over, minors must be accompanied by parents. A fee of $10 will be charged to cover facility cost. Hats & glasses are recommended for the casting session.
